Mirai’s practice utilizes digital tools such as CG graphics and programming as a means to convey emotions, giving artworks that would otherwise feel cool or detached the warmth of real, physical existence. Each piece embodies the complicated transition from one realm of being to the other and the artist’s attempt to break free from the confines of what “virtual” or “real” means.
